Refund policy
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at sales@scintilladiamonds.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: [INSERT RETURN ADDRESS]
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Please Note* Due to resizing limitations, wedding rings and full pavé rings are not eligible for returns or refunds.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Each Scintilla Diamonds piece goes through a quality control inspection to ensure high standards are maintained.
At Scintilla Diamonds, we recognise that it's a big purchase and therefore we pirortise your peace of mind by proudly offering our Australian customers a 30-day refund or exchange policy for engagement rings (excluding items that are on sale, promotional, discounted or personalised, and using our 20% deposit and laybuy system, due to resizing limitations, wedding rings and full pavé rings are not eligible for returns ). Our mission is to craft the ideal diamond ring that truly reflects your unique essence and style. We want you to feel confident and delighted with your choice, knowing that we are here to support you in finding the perfect piece. Additionally, if you encounter a manufacturing defect, we provide a generous 30-Day Warranty policy, we will repair any rings that are damaged due to manufacturing. We want you to shop confidently, knowing that your satisfaction is our top priority.
Refunds and Exchange Policies:
Finished Jewellery
- Scintilla Diamonds offers a thirty (30) day refunds or exchange for rings (excludes items relating to sales or promotions, or have been personalised), excludes earrings, and wedding rings, loose diamonds, rings made with custom-cut diamonds, or customised rings that are not in our inventory, Due to resizing limitations, wedding rings and full pavé rings are not eligible for returns or refunds.
- The customer must return the product in the original packaging that is not damaged, tags on the ring still intact, and accompanied by all the original documentation and receipt for proof of purchase. The thirty (30) day refund or exchange period will begin when your order is delivered. Each customer can only use the thirty (30) day returns once.
- We offer our international customers the thirty (30) day refund or exchange. However, internatioal customers are responsible for shipping.
- Scintilla Diamonds offers a thirty (30) day refund or return where customers are entitled to a refund or exchange if the item has a manufacturing defect, or change of mind.
- Scintilla Diamonds does not provide returns or exchanges on items with a defect caused by misuse, an accident, normal wear and tear, or not following the care instructions.
- Scintilla Diamonds has the discretion to refuse a refund or exchange of we have inspected the ring and the damage is due to wear and tear, defect caused by misuse, accident or not following care instructions.
- Returns will not be accpted and Refunds will not be provided if the tag is not intact, proof of purchase (invoice) is missing, or box is damaged.
- All 30 dy refunds or returns and lifetime warranty must include all diamond grading reports; missing diamond grading reports will incur a replacement fee of up to AUD 250. Scintilla Diamonds will deduct this from the refund or exchange price.

Personalised Nature
- The full refund and exchanges excludes items that have been engraved, resized, or modified, previously exchanged items, custom-cut diamonds, and custom-designed jewellery that are non-returnable due to their personalised nature.
- Due to the difficulty of re-sale for lower quality diamonds, Scintilla Diamonds cannot offer refunds or exchange on any diamonds that are J, K, L or M in colour and any diamonds that are I1 in clarity. Please make sure You choose carefully, and if You are unsure about the colour/clarity of a lower-grade diamond, it is best to ask Scintilla Diamonds.
- For all changes to orders submitted for manufacturing, a fee of AUD 250 will be charged to cover the administration costs associated with changing the order. Please note that changes may not be made if the manufacturing process has begun.
- Refunds will be processed through the same payment method used at purchase or bank transfer. If, for any reason, You require an alternative payment method. You can call us on 0401 891 467 or send your request by email to sales@scintilladiamonds.com
- Scintilla Diamonds stock is updated automatically when an order is placed. On rare occasions, you may select a diamond that is unavailable. This may happen due to API errors or website bugs. Scintilla Diamonds will offer you a stone with the same characteristics as you initially selected. Scintilla Diamonds will issue you a full refund if no similar stones are available.
20% Deposit and 3 Months Laybuy
At Scintilla Diamonds, we strive to make the process of buying your dream ring as smooth and stress-free as possible. With our 20% deposit and three-month layby option, you have the flexibility to pay according to your budget. We’ll send you gentle reminders every fortnight, allowing you to contribute as little or as much as you like throughout the three months. This way, you can focus on choosing the perfect ring without any financial worries. Once the total amount is paid in full, we’ll promptly ship your dream ring to you. Please note that due to the nature of our 20% deposit and three-month layby policy, we are unable to offer returns or exchanges.

Scintilla Diamonds Laybuy Cancellation Policy
We appreciate that purchasing a diamond ring is a special commitment, and we want to ensure you have all the details before making a decision. Here’s what to keep in mind:
1. Payment First, Then Delivery
Your item will be reserved for you, but it will only be delivered once the full payment is completed.
2. Cancellation Fee
Should you decide to cancel your Laybuy, 50% of the total item cost will be retained to help cover the costs of diamond sourcing and preparation of your ring or jewellery item.
3. Our Commitment to Quality
Even with the cancellation fee, Scintilla Diamonds still absorbs a significant portion of the costs. This ensures that we can continue providing the exceptional quality and craftsmanship you deserve.
4. Making a Confident Choice
Before committing to a laybuy, we encourage you to carefully consider your decision. Cancelling means forfeiting a portion of your payment, so it’s important to be sure before proceeding.
5. Clear & Transparent Policies
We believe in transparency, so we make sure you have a clear understanding of our policy before you make a purchase.

Warranty
- Our Products come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to have the Products repaired if the Products fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure (the 'Warranty').
- You may make a claim under this clause (the 'Warranty Claim') for material defects and workmanship in the Products.
- In order to make a Warranty Claim during the Warranty, you must provide proof (receipt) of purchase to Scintilla Diamonds showing the date of purchase of the Products, provide a description of the Products and the price paid for the Products by sending written notice to sales@scintilladiamonds.com
- Where the Warranty Claim is accepted, then Scintilla Diamonds will, at its sole discretion, to repair any defective Products at no charge to You for parts or labour. You acknowledge and agree that You will be solely liable for any postage or shipping costs incurred in facilitating the Warranty Claim.
- The Warranty shall be the sole and exclusive Warranty granted by Scintilla Diamonds and the sole and exclusive remedy available to You in addition to other rights and under a law concerning the Products to which this Warranty relates.
- All implied warranties, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for use are limited to the Warranty Period.
- The Warranty does not apply to any appearance of the supplied Products nor to the additional excluded items set above in Personalised Nature nor to any supplied Products where the exterior of which has been damaged or defaced, which has been subjected to misuse, abnormal service or handling, or which has been altered or modified in design or construction.
- The Warranty does not apply if you are allergic to metals as your health is soley your responsibilty.
Delivery
- Due to Scintilla Diamonds partnering with multiple quality suppliers, Australian and international customers may incur customs duties and tax charges depending on where their jewellery is sourced.
- All deliveries will come by registered mail requiring a signature.
- Scintilla Diamonds works with a range of trusted suppliers, so delivery times may vary depending on where your jewellery is sourced.
- Scintilla Diamonds accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage if you use your shipping method.
- You acknowledge and agree that Scintilla Diamonds is not the provider of these delivery and insurance options and merely facilitates your interaction with the Delivery Service Providers with respect to providing the Delivery Services.
Overseas Orders
- Shipping costs for international orders will be at a fixed price. Customers are responsible for the customs duty charges in your country.
- In providing the Purchase Services, Scintilla Diamonds (may provide You with a variety of delivery and insurance options offered as part of the Delivery Services by the Delivery Service Providers). You acknowledge and agree that Scintilla Diamonds is not the provider of these delivery and insurance options and merely facilitates your interaction with the Delivery Service Providers regarding the provision of the Delivery Services.
- In the event that an item is lost or damaged in the course of the Delivery Services, Scintilla Diamonds asks that You:
- Contact the Delivery Service Provider directly to request a refund or to claim on any insurance options available; and
- Contact us by sending an email to sales@scintilladiamonds.com outlining the damage to the products whilst in transit so we can determine if the Delivery Service Provider should be removed from the Purchase Services.
- The customer is only entitled to a refund or replacement for a major problem with a product covered by consumer guarantees.
- You are not entitled to a refund unless there is a fault that was not caused by misuse, an accident, normal wear and tear or by not following the care instructions.
In order to process changes on orders that are already in the manufacturing process, if manufacturing is at a stage where the order is able to be stopped (or has not been started) a fee of AUD $250 will be charged for the administration costs associated with changing the order. Please note that changes may not be made if the manufacturing process has begun.
- For Multiple returns/ exchanges, you may only use our thirty (30) day returns/exchange once in a twelve (12) month period.

- Scintilla Diamonds stock is updated automatically when an order is placed. On rare occasions, there may be a diamond that You have selected which may not be available. If no similar stones are available, Scintilla Diamonds will issue You a full refund.
The thirty (30) day return period begins when your order is delivered and the Lifetime warranty is for damage caused by the manufacturing defect and not due to misuse, an accident, normal wear, and tear, or not following the care instructions.
